Aspire Software is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team in Lebanon.

What you day will look like:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance existing web applications using Java Server Pages (JSP) and Oracle Database, with a strong focus on PLSQL procedures and functions.
  • Lead the transition to a new technology stack featuring React for the frontend, Java Spring for the backend, and PostgreSQL.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure web applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and code reviews.
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in full stack web application development.
  • Strong expertise in Java Server Pages (JSP) and Oracle Database, with significant experience in developing and working with PLSQL procedures and functions.
  • Extensive experience with React, Java Spring framework, and PostgreSQL.
  • Proven track record of leading the transition of legacy systems to modern architectures.
  • Deep understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Strong knowledge of database design and management, with experience in both Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to mentor and lead other developers.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools with proven ability to contribute to the creation of automated integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Ability to work in the US Central Time Zone on a regular basis.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
