Business software platform MyTaskit has announced it is partnering with Montreal-based Valsoft Corporation, which specializes in acquiring and developing vertical market software companies.
Under the agreement, Valsoft obtains the rights to the DockMaster brand and intellectual property, as well as operations of DockMaster products and services.
Since 2015 DockMaster has been known as the Operations module of MyTaskit Pro. As part of the new Valsoft partnership it will return to the DockMaster name.
Cam Collins, previously senior vice president at MyTaskit, was named president of DockMaster and will continue in this role as the leading executive of operations.
MyTaskit CEO and founder Kevin Hutchinson is joining Valsoft’s board of advisors.
“As you know, over the past two years since the launch of MyTaskit in April 2015 we rebranded DockMaster as the Operations module of MyTaskit Pro,” Hutchinson said. “To be honest, that hasn’t gone so well. The customers, and even ourselves internally, still refer to it mostly as DockMaster, so it makes total sense to bring the name back.”
Valsoft CEO Sam Youssef said his company is looking forward to a long-term partnership with MyTaskit.
“We approached Mr. Hutchinson about a partnership between our two companies to bring back the DockMaster brand and invest in the marine industry software leader. We will carry on Kevin and his team’s legacy of 100 percent customer success,” Youssef said in a statement.
“We will continue to work closely with Kevin, Cam and the entire MyTaskit and DockMaster team to make sure our customers have all the tools they need to compete in today’s technology era.”
The MyTaskit and DockMaster teams will work together in an effort to provide continued strategic development, deployment, support and integration of DockMaster and MyTaskit Pro software products. Hutchinson said the partnership is aimed at continued growth and enhanced product development.
“When Valsoft approached us, they were looking to invest in the continued success of our marine software products,” Hutchinson said. “As our discussions evolved, we found that by committing to a strategic collaboration, we would be able grow the capabilities and demand for both of our products. This partnership focuses on delivering more extensive product solutions to our existing customers and the marine industry as a whole, while also opening up opportunities to partner with other niche marine software providers.”
Valsoft and MyTaskit have additionally formed a co-marketing relationship for MyTaskit Pro’s coordination product, task coordination software for marine service companies. The agreement will support the continued data integration between DockMaster and MyTaskit Pro. Both companies expect future software integrations and product enhancements to follow.
Valsoft Corporation was represented internally by David Felicissimo, General Counsel. MyTaskit was represented by David G. Bates & Stacie K. Townsend of Gunster in West Palm Beach, Florida.

InnQuest’s popular hotel management software, roomMaster, is used in over 100 countries and by over 5,500 clients worldwide. The software was developed by hoteliers for hoteliers and has been widely praised for its intuitive performance and ease of use. roomMaster provides every software management product a hotel needs in one simple turnkey solution, including a booking engine with a channel manager linked to Expedia and Booking.com. InnQuest was founded in 1995 by its President, Mr. Robert Paresi, and Vice President, Mr. Tyler White. From the beginning, they established customer delight as a cornerstone of its business and has, as a result, built an invaluable reputation among its clients.
“We have analyzed many companies in our business careers and rarely have we seen one that operates at InnQuest’s level of efficiency,” remarked Sam Youssef, Valsoft’s CEO. “We intend to manage, grow and invest in roomMaster for decades to come. We are eager to pursue the legacy of service excellence started by Robert Paresi and his team, and to increase InnQuest’s customer delight, which is already extremely high.”

“InnQuest is Robert Paresi’s life painting,” stated Steph Manos, Valsoft’s head of M&A. “Its current success and promising future are a consequence of Paresi pouring his heart and work into his creation.”
“InnQuest Software, its employees, clients, resellers, and products are very special to me. It was extremely important to pass the torch to the right company,” explained Paresi. “We were approached by many investment and hotel companies over the years. However, we quickly learned that Valsoft shared the same core values as InnQuest, which gave us tremendous confidence in the future and in the ability of the expanded team to take roomMaster to the next level. Tyler and I are committed to making this a seamless and very successful transition.”
