Payroll Officer – Hybrid – Adelaide

We are hiring at Aspire Software for a Payroll Officer to join our growing global team to help shape, develop and support our portfolio of Enterprise Software businesses in Australia!

As an HR professional in our team, you'll be the cornerstone and leader of all HR activities, playing a pivotal role in shaping our workforce and nurturing our company culture for Australia.

As the Payroll professional on our team, you'll be the cornerstone and leader of Payroll activities for Australia. We are offering this full-time role. The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas related to payroll.

The candidate can be anywhere within commutable distance of our office in Adelaide and work in a hybrid work model!

What your day will look like:

  • Deliver compliant and efficient payroll processing, ensuring accurate data that is up to date with employee changes, enterprise agreements, legislation and regulatory changes
  • Assisting with preparation, balancing and reconciliation of payroll tax, group tax, PAYG tax and superannuation and authorized payroll deductions
  • Resolving enquiries from employees
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and reduce risks related to the daily payroll activities

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in Payroll
  • Interpersonal communication skills, effective collaboration, diplomacy, and assertiveness
  • Numeric accuracy, excel expertise, attention to detail
  • Strong organization, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to onboard new employees and manage HR tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relatable systems
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas related to human resources and payroll in Australia
  • Legally authorized to work in Australia
