Finance Manager – Hybrid – Montreal

We are hiring at Aspire Software for an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join our team in Montreal!

In this role, you’ll be working with several Managing Directors within your vertical as well as with the Portfolio Manager to understand their businesses and needs. You’ll be directly reporting to the Finance Director for this specific portfolio.

By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

The successful candidate will be based in Montreal, working in a hybrid setting.

What your day will look like:

• Work closely with the Managing Directors and the Portfolio Manager within your vertical to understand their businesses and needs.
• Prepare quarterly forecasts.
• Review revenue recognition and ensure accuracy.
• Analyze and discuss KPIs.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis.
• Perform financial period close tasks and journal entries.
• Own Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis.
• Own P&Ls, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Manage the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements.
• Participate in cash flow forecasting and analysis.
• Complete opening balance audits and acquisition accounting.
• Assist in financial integration for new acquisitions.
• Participate in special projects and process improvements.

About You:

• Qualified accountant with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in Accounting and Audit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, with CPA certification or actively working towards it.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• A genuinely curious mindset, capable of quickly learning new systems, and the desire to grow and develop over time.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourceful and will take initiative.
• A team player eager to tackle challenges and eventually take ownership of a designated business area.
• Detail-oriented self-starter who excels in process improvement and problem-solving.
