Financial Accountant – Hybrid – Angers

Aspire Software is looking for an experienced and dynamic Financial Accountant to join our team in Europe!

Aspire Software is hiring for a Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team and play a mission-critical role in helping to shape and develop two of our enterprise software companies in France. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for driving all financial activities within these two subsidiary companies.

The successful candidate will work three days in the offices at Angers or Paris Gare de Lyon and two days remotely!

What Your Day Will Look Like:

• Working closely with the Managing Directors to understand their business and needs
• Working closely with the Head of Finance to ensure group reporting and compliance is completed accurately and on time
• Perform financial period close tasks and journal entries
• Own Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis
• Own P&Ls, ensuring accuracy and delivery on a timely basis
• Participate in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements
• Assist with VAT Returns and the accuracy of VAT reporting
• Analyze and discuss KPIs
• Participate in special projects and process improvements

About You:

• Fluent in French and English, both written and verbal, is essential
• Qualified Financial Accountant certification with at least 3+ years post-qualification experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is desirable
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerBI) and Oracle Netsuite
• A detail-oriented self-starter who thrives on the process and solving problems
• A genuinely curious mindset, capable of quickly learning new systems, and the desire to grow and develop over time
• A team player who loves a challenge and wants to eventually ‘own’ their area of the business
• Someone who is driven by life-long learning and continuous professional development
• Must be legally authorized to work in France
