Aspire Software is looking for a Senior Database Administrator ( Hybrid Position ) to join our team in Lebanon.

What your day will look:
• Provide technical expertise and consultancy to the business.
• Develop, maintain and support internally developed application databases.
• Provide ad-hoc maintenance and support function for complex related SQL queries.
• Share information effectively with other technical staff and project teams
• Understand and analyse requirements, seeking clarification as necessary.
• Communicate problems appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Identify and consult subject matter experts as required.
• Help maintain a culture of learning and creativity and activitly mentor other technical staff
• Create clear documentation, guides and commented code.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.
• Maintain current knowledge in areas of database development, documentation, database security.
• Accurately estimate and measure tasks.
• Carry out database development, according to specification, and in line with development/coding standards.
• Carry out database tasks in line with the company’s core value of “Always Quality Driven”
• Carry out testing and assist the QA team in testing.
• Carry out database maintenance in response to testing feedback and ad-hoc business requests.
• To efficiently manage your workload and accurately record your time using the company timesheet system.
• To freely share knowledge, insight, best practice and ideas.
• Work appropriately, according to defined processes and procedures.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in database development.
• Set appropriate deadlines, and strive to achieve them.
Proven track record in database development and administration within a corporate setting:
• Extensive expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, encompassing T-SQL proficiency, replication, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Advanced comprehension of indexing, performance tuning, and query optimization strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of database security protocols and adherence to best practices.
• Keen to learn new skills and technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proactive approach to problem management.
• Team player.
• Adept at adhering to database development best practices and standards.
• Proven experience handling substantial data volumes efficiently.
o Proficiency in cloud-based databases and data lakes.
o Expertise in requirements capture and meticulous documentation.
o Background in financial services database management.
o Experience working in an Agile environment, showcasing adaptability and collaborative skills at an advanced level.
