Position Summary: As our Senior Cloud Developer, you will be at the forefront of ValPay's cloud infrastructure, driving the technical vision for our platform. Your role will be pivotal in transforming and scaling our backend infrastructure to meet the growing demands of our clients. Collaborating closely with our technical team, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based solutions to ensure our partners' software platforms are empowered and optimized.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Engaging in daily scrums with the technical team, ensuring alignment and focus
• Conducting technical design sessions to flesh out technical stories in the backlog
• Implementing, deploying, and testing technical stories across multiple environments
• Designing and managing cloud components through infrastructure sessions
• Regularly reviewing code and showcasing progress through demos
• Crafting and updating backend services on AWS infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies and frameworks
• Overseeing collections and schemas in MongoDB Atlas
• Engaging in rigorous peer code reviews on GitHub
• Managing Docker configurations for diverse coding environments
• Establishing and refining coding pipelines in AWS for streamlined delivery
• Optimizing AWS and MongoDB Atlas services to ensure efficient application scaling
• Developing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests

What You Bring:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• 7+ Years of Overall Backend Development experience
• Proficiency in Node.js (Nest.js/Next.js/Express) OR Python (Flask/Django), and No SQL databases (MongoDB)
• Experience creating enterprise Web Applications on AWS with strong understanding of: API Gateways, Lambda Function, Cognito, Amplify, Application Load Balancers, ECS/EKS
• Tangible exposure  building AWS architectures for Web Applications using VPCs, IAM security policies, Kubernetes, Docker and MongoDB Atlas
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities, especially under pressure 
  
• Detail-oriented, results-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Superb interpersonal and communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Pluses:

• Familiarity with frontend technologies like React.JS, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Gitlab/GitHub.
• Knowledge of Postman
• Knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
