Financial Accountant – Remote – UK

ASE Global is looking to hire an extremely self-motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and play a mission-critical role in helping to shape and develop our Finance Function!

The successful Financial Accountant will provide timely and accurate financial information in order to maintain a strong control environment and to ensure the financial position is reported within the required timescales. Ensuring ASE Group consolidated monthly results are prepared and reported within the monthly timescales. Working closely with relevant heads of departments/country to review their results. Act as a business partner to the wider business.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere within the UK working in a remote work model!

What your day will look like:

  • Preparation of the monthly consolidated accounts pack in accordance with monthly timescales
  • Delivering the Annual Statutory Accounts and associated disclosure notes
  • Preparing key financial and non-financial analysis and reports
  • Review of the monthly payroll process undertaken by external provider
  • Responsible for overseeing the Company Accountant role and providing development to this role

About you:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Statutory Accounts experience - statutory accounts preparation from source information, with knowledge of key disclosures within a set of financial statements
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience of managing direct reports
  • Key team player within the finance team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Being pro-active when dealing with issues across the business
  • To be a strong ambassador of the finance function and maintain relationships across the business
  • Strong Excel skills as data will typically be extracted into Excel for review and presentation purposes
  • Self-motivated to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed to a high level and on time
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills to ensure tasks are prioritised and completed to deadlines
  • People management skills as role involves managing direct reports
  • Legally authorized to work in the UK
